What do I need in order to rent from All Star Equipment Rental and Sales?

All potential customers will need the following: 

  • A valid Driver’s License
  • A working phone number
  • A physical address
  • The physical address where the rented equipment or items will be used

How does rental equipment payment work?

All approved charge account customers have payment terms of: Net 30 days.

All cash customers must provide a valid divers license and credit card for security then pay rental in full upon returning equipment.

What forms of payment do you accept?

All Star accepts cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover and/or personal or business checks.   Some rental equipment situations require a Credit Card Payment.  For example, if your Driver’s License is from outside of the State of Florida or if the address on your driver’s license is located over 30 miles from any All Star Equipment Rental and Sales location you will be required to pay using a credit card.

Commercial accounts are welcome by way of applying for credit.

Our rental policies are printed on the back of each one of our equipment rental policies.  We suggest that you take the time to review them. 

Equipment Rental Periods and Rates

How long is a Rental Day?

Typically a “rental day” is a 24 hour period.  However, special rates apply to “weekend” or “holiday” rentals.  All equipment that have hour meters are limited to 8 hours of usage on the meter per the “daily rate.”  All metered time over 8 hours of usage within the “rental day” will be charged at 1/6 of the daily rate per hour of usage.

Since we are closed on Saturday and Sunday, If you rent equipment on a Friday or Friday afternoon, you can bring it back on the following Monday and that counts as 1 day and our “daily rate” applies in this situation.

How long is a Rental Week?

A “rental week” is typically a 7 day period. All equipment that have hour meters are limited to 40 hours of usage on the meter per the “weekly rate.” All metered time over 40 hours within the “rental week” will be charged at 1/6 of the daily rate per hour of usage.

How long is a Rental Month?

A “rental month” is typically a 28 day period or 4 weeks. All items that have hourly meters are limited to 160 hours of usage on the meter per the “monthly rate.” All metered time over 160 hours within the “rental month” will be charged at 1/6 of the daily rate per hour of usage.

Do you have Special Rates for the Weekend?

We are closed on the Weekends. 

The “weekend” is equal to the “daily rate,” but more time is allotted due to All Star Equipment Rental and Sales being closed on both Saturday and Sunday. If you rent equipment on a Friday, you can bring it back on the following Monday and that is equal to 1 day and our “daily rate” applies in this situation.

All items with hourly meters are limited to 8 hours of usage on the meter per the “daily rate.” All metered time over 8 hours within the “rental day” will be charged at 1/6 of the daily rate per hour of usage.

Is there an Accidental Damage Waiver available?

An optional Accidental Damage Waiver (not insurance) is obtainable on most items. The Accidental Damage Waiver covers damage that may occur while the equipment is in your possession; except: loss, theft, negligence, abuse, tires, and flats. The Accidental Damage Waiver rate is 12% of the rental charge.

Does All Star Equipment Rental and Sales charge any deposits on rentals?

Some items have deposits for clean up, fuel and security (security deposit.) All deposits are fully refunded if the terms of the deposit are met, i.e. If an item has a fuel deposit, the deposit will be fully refunded if the item is returned full of the proper fuel. 

Note: Not all items have a deposit. Please call to ask. We send all equipment out with a full level of fuel.

Are there any Additional Charges for Equipment Rental or Sales?

Purchased items or equipment are subject to current Sales Tax laws.

Rented items or equipment are subject to Use Tax laws.

Does All Star Equipment Rental and Sales deliver and/or pick up rental items?

Yes, we do pick up and deliver however there is a fee for this service. The rate is determined by item(s) and mileage transported. Call All Star for rates to the desired location.

What if my equipment breaks down at the job site?

We maintain equipment in top working order and never knowingly rent a piece of equipment that is not working properly. If you have any problems with our rental equipment please call All Star immediately.

Is it possible to reserve equipment?

Yes it is possible to reserve equipment for dates needed. We will need to know which items, the date and time wanted, the name of the company or person picking up, and a contact phone number.  We will hold a reservation up to an hour after the desired time of pick up. If you, as a customer are going to be late picking up reserved equipment, please call to let All Star to let us know.
